1. Information We Collect
- Account and profile information: name, email address, authentication identifiers, account settings, subscription status, and support preferences.
- Travel content: trips, itineraries, reservations, confirmation numbers, activities, packing lists, notes, collaboration details, and other information you add to Trip Prudent.
- Uploaded and imported content: documents, photos, videos, receipts, travel document details, extracted text, forwarded emails, attachments, and other files you choose to upload or import.
- Location and calendar information: approximate or precise location and calendar details only when you grant device permission or connect those features.
- Payments, subscriptions, and expenses: app-store purchase status, subscription history, expense entries, currencies, and related trip budgeting information. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Device, usage, and diagnostics information: device and app details, IP address or user agent where applicable, feature interactions, crash reports, performance data, network diagnostics, and identifiers used for security, analytics, and reliability.
- Communications: messages you send to support, waitlist signups, feedback, notification preferences, and operational email or push-notification delivery data.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide and operate Trip Prudent, including account access, syncing, trip organization, document processing, reminders, collaboration, maps, recommendations, and support.
- Process subscriptions, verify entitlements, prevent fraud, secure the service, and troubleshoot errors.
- Use automated tools to extract travel details, organize itinerary content, personalize app features, and improve the quality and reliability of the service.
- Send service messages, support responses, product updates, security notices, and notifications you request or enable.
- Measure app performance, understand feature usage, improve reliability, and develop new features.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and protect Trip Prudent, our users, and the public.
- We do not sell your personal information.
3. When We Share Information
- Collaborators: trip information is visible to people you choose to invite or share with.
- Service providers: we use trusted providers for hosting, storage, authentication, payments, app-store entitlement checks, email delivery, push notifications, analytics, crash and performance monitoring, maps, document processing, AI-assisted features, security, and customer support.
- Legal and safety reasons: we may share information when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to protect rights, property, and safety.
- Business transfers: information may be transferred if Trip Prudent is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy or a policy with materially similar protections.
- Provider categories are listed at a functional level because specific providers may change over time. Providers are used only to operate, secure, support, and improve Trip Prudent.
4. Your Choices and Controls
- Device permissions: you can enable or disable access to location, camera, photos, calendars, notifications, and similar device features in your device settings.
- Account controls: you may update account information, manage preferences, export data where available, or request account deletion through the app or our support page.
- Analytics and personalization: where provided in the app, you can adjust analytics and AI-personalization preferences.
- Communications: you can opt out of non-essential marketing emails, but we may still send transactional, security, billing, or support messages.
- Collaboration: you control which trips you share and can remove collaborators where the app provides that control.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Trip Prudent, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
- When you delete your account, personal account data and trip content are deleted or anonymized from active product systems within 30 days, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, billing, or dispute-resolution purposes.
- Some information may remain for a limited time in encrypted backups, system logs, service-provider logs, app-store billing records, or records necessary to document and complete your deletion request.
- Aggregated or anonymized information that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained and used for analytics, reporting, and service improvement.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring. No digital service can be guaranteed 100% secure, so only upload documents and travel details that you want Trip Prudent to process for the features you use.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. International Transfers
Trip Prudent is operated from the United States. If you use the App outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as updating the effective date, posting notice in the app or on the website, or sending an email where appropriate.
