Delete Your Account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Trip Prudent account and tells you exactly what data is removed and what may be retained.

1. How to request account deletion

You can delete your account in three ways. Choose whichever works best — you do not need to be signed in or have the app installed to use the email option.

Option 1 — In the app (fastest)

  1. Open the Trip Prudent app.
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon).
  3. Tap Privacy and Security.
  4. Scroll to Delete Account and confirm twice.

Option 2 — By email (no app required)

Email us with the subject line “Delete My Account” from the address you used to sign up:

Option 3 — On the web app

If you can’t access the mobile app, you can also use the web request page at app.tripprudent.com/delete-account.

2. What data will be deleted

When your deletion request is processed, the following are permanently removed or anonymized:

  • Profile information (name, email, profile photo)
  • All saved trips and itineraries
  • Uploaded documents and photos
  • Expenses, reservations, activities, and packing lists
  • Collaboration data and shared trip access
  • Referral history
  • App preferences and settings
  • Authentication identifiers (Firebase UID and similar)

3. What may be retained

Important: account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

  • Your data is removed within 30 days of the request.
  • Anonymized, aggregated analytics may be retained — these cannot be linked back to you.
  • Records required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations may be retained for the duration required by law.

4. Timeline

Deletion requests are processed within 30 days of receipt. You’ll receive a confirmation email at the address on file once your account and data have been removed.
