Delete Your Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Trip Prudent account and what account data is deleted, anonymized, or retained for limited purposes.

1. How to request account deletion

You can delete your account in three ways. Choose whichever works best — you do not need to be signed in or have the app installed to use the email option.

Option 1 — In the app (fastest)

  1. Open the Trip Prudent app.
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon).
  3. Tap Privacy and Security.
  4. Scroll to Delete Account and confirm twice.

Option 2 — By email (no app required)

Email us with the subject line “Delete My Account” from the address you used to sign up:

Option 3 — On the web app

If you can’t access the mobile app, you can also use the web request page at app.tripprudent.com/delete-account.

2. What data will be deleted

When your verified deletion request is processed, the following account data is deleted or anonymized from active product systems:

  • Profile information from active account records, such as name, email, and profile photo
  • Saved trips, itineraries, reservations, activities, notes, and packing lists tied to your account
  • Uploaded documents, photos, videos, receipts, extracted text, and imported travel content tied to your account
  • Expense entries, budgets, trip totals, and related travel-finance records tied to your account
  • Collaboration access, shared-trip membership, referral history, preferences, and app settings tied to your account
  • Authentication identifiers and device associations tied to your active account, where deletion is technically available

3. What may be retained

Important: account deletion cannot be undone after it is completed.

  • Your personal account data is deleted or anonymized from active product systems within 30 days of a verified request.
  • Limited records may be retained when needed for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, billing, app-store, support, or dispute-resolution obligations.
  • A limited deletion-request record may be retained so we can document and complete the request.
  • Encrypted backups, system logs, service-provider logs, and app-store billing records may retain limited information until they expire or are overwritten in the ordinary course.
  • Aggregated or anonymized analytics may be retained when they cannot reasonably identify you.

4. Timeline

Verified deletion requests are processed within 30 days of receipt. You’ll receive a confirmation email at the address on file once your active account data has been deleted or anonymized. Some retained records, backups, logs, or app-store billing records may remain for the limited purposes described above.
